If you go through this website you will find clips of the last 20 years of my life, working in the health and wellness industry.
I started as a fitness instructor and recreation technician and have moved towards working in education health coaching, somatic movement therapy, Naturopathy and Massage.
I became attracted to this area of preventative health care because of my medial history. I was born with a blood coagulation on my spine, which created a non genetic scoliosis. At the age of 12 I fought and won a bought with Meningitis, (which although I am happy to be alive), the meningitis created some brain and nervous system damage.
During my recovery I was unfortunately diagnosed with fibromyalgia, arthritis and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Well, this is when I learned to be grateful, patient and persistent. My progressive self-care and nutrition protocols made a big difference in my quality of life.
I went on to compete in Judo and was gifted with educational opportunities, unfortunately I pushed myself too much and lost some of my health status and scholarships. This loss taught me that balance is key.
I then devoted my life to the education and coaching of others in allied self-care and health promotion. I continue to further both my private and public education, hoping to one day obtain a Ph.D in an allied interdisciplinary health field as well as aid in the development of other health coaches ' education journey.
My belief is that alone I can only do so much, but with others working towards the same goals, will come the power to make wonderful changes.
I have been blessed to be with my husband, now of 20 years on this journey. He is also a coach and complements my work by being on the athletic sports performance side of this field as well as a fellow Trager Practitioner.
This why I am grateful for my life in all it's facets, without some experience I would not have been guided into this profession.
